INDICATIONS
Prilosec is used for treating heartburn or irritation in the esophagus a result of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It may also be used for short-term treatment of ulcers with the stomach or small intestines. It may also be utilized with certain antibiotics to help remedy ulcers with the small intestines also to help alleviate problems with them from ever coming back. It may also supply to deal with issues that cause the body to create an excessive amount of stomach acid (eg, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome). Prilosec can be a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by lowering the level of acid stated in the stomach.

STORAGE
Store Prilosec at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store from heat, moisture, and light-weight. Do not store inside the bathroom. Keep Prilosec out of the reach of kids and faraway from pets.
All medicines may cause side effects, but many everyone has no, or minor, unwanted side effects.
Check together with your doctor if all of these most common side effects persist or become bothersome:
Diarrhea; headache.
Seek medical attention right away if some of these severe negative effects occur:
Severe allergy symptoms (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling in the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; unusual hoarseness); chest pain; dark urine; fast or irregular heartbeat; fever, chills, or sore throat; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; swelling in the hands, ankles, or feet; unusual bruising or bleeding; unusual tiredness; vision changes; yellowing of the eyes or skin.
