Kytril blocks what of chemicals in your body that can trigger nausea and vomiting.
INSTRUCTIONS
Take Kytril exactly as it was prescribed to suit your needs. Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or go for more than recommended through your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label.
Kytril is generally roared to life to a single hour before chemotherapy. Follow a medical expert's instructions.
Measure the liquid way of Kytril with a special dose-measuring spoon or cup, not a regular table spoon. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask the pharmacist for starters.
If you missed a dose - educate doctor in case you forget to consider your dose within 1 hour before chemotherapy. Do not take extra medicine to make inside the missed dose.
DOSAGE
Emetogenic Chemotherapy
The recommended adult dosage of oral KYTRIL (granisetron hydrochloride) is 2 mg once daily or 1 mg two tmes a day. In the 2 mg once-daily regimen, two 1 mg tablets or 10 mL of KYTRIL (granisetron) Oral Solution (2 teaspoonfuls, equivalent to 2 mg of granisetron) are given up to at least one hour before chemotherapy. In the 1 mg twice-daily regimen, the first 1 mg tablet or one teaspoonful (5 mL) of KYTRIL (granisetron) Oral Solution is left to at least one hour before chemotherapy, along with the second tablet or second teaspoonful (5 mL) of KYTRIL (granisetron) Oral Solution, 12 hours after the 1st. Either regimen is administered only marriage ceremony(s) chemotherapy emerges. Continued treatment, whilst not on chemotherapy, has not been seen to be useful.
Pediatric Use
Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established.
Radiation (Either Total Body Irradiation or Fractionated Abdominal Radiation)
The recommended adult dosage of oral KYTRIL (granisetron) is 2 mg once daily. Two 1 mg tablets or 10 mL of KYTRIL (granisetron) Oral Solution (2 teaspoonfuls, similar to 2 mg of granisetron) are taken within an hour of radiation.
STORAGE
Store Kytril at room temperature from moisture and heat.
Get emergency medical help if you have some of these warning signs of a hypersensitivity to Kytril: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. Call your doctor simultaneously if you possess a serious side effect such as:

You should avoid using Kytril in case you are allergic to granisetron as well as to similar medicines for example dolasetron (Anzemet), ondansetron (Zofran), or palonosetron (Aloxi).
Before taking Kytril, educate doctor in case you have liver disease, a heart rhythm disorder, an electrolyte imbalance (such as lower levels of potassium or magnesium with your blood), or a personal or family history of Long QT syndrome.
