Zocor is utilized for lowering high cholesterol and triglycerides in a few patients. It also increases high-density lipoprotein (HDL, "good") cholesterol. It can be used in addition to an appropriate diet. It can be used using patients to relieve potential risk of cardiac event, stroke, and death due to heart disease. It is also used to reduce the dependence on medical procedures to start blocked arteries. It is also used in a few patients to reduce potential risk of cardiac arrest, stroke, circulation blockage, or chest pain brought on by angina. Zocor can be an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, also known as a "statin." It works by reducing the manufacture of certain fatty substances in your body, including cholesterol.

STORAGE
