Emsam is indicated for that treating major depressive disorder.
INSTRUCTIONS
Use Emsam exactly as directed about the label, or as it continues to be prescribed because of your doctor. Do not use over recommended. Follow the directions in your prescription label.
For patients using Emsam: While you are using Emsam as well as for two weeks after you stop, you must not eat foods an excellent source of tyramine (classified by the "What should I avoid?" part of this leaflet. Eating these foods while you are taking Emsam can raise your blood pressure to dangerous levels.

Do not stop using Emsam suddenly or perhaps you could have harmful side effects. It may take weeks of using Emsam before your symptoms improve. For best results, keep while using the medication as directed. Store Emsam at room temperature faraway from heat and dampness.
If you missed a dose - take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time to go ahead and take next pill, skip the missed dose and take the medication at the next regularly scheduled time. Do not take extra pills to make the missed dose.
DOSAGE
The recommended starting dose and target dose for Emsam (selegiline transdermal system) is 6 mg/24 hours.
STORAGE
Store Emsam at 20º to 25º C (68º to 77º F).[See USP Controlled Room Temperature.] Keep away from children, pets kinds.
Get emergency medical help in case you have these warning signs of a hypersensitive reaction: hives; lack of breath; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your physician at the same time in case you have any new or worsening symptoms for example: mood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, or if you really feel impulsive, irritable, agitated, hostile, aggressive, restless, hyperactive (mentally or physically), more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself.

Do not use Emsam in case you are allergic to selegiline, if you have an adrenal gland tumor (otherwise known as pheochromocytoma), or if you want to possess any sort of surgery. Do not use Emsam if you have taken any in the following drugs within the past two weeks:
After you stop using Emsam, you should wait at least two weeks when considering any in the medications as listed above.You must wait at least 5 weeks after stopping fluoxetine (Prozac) simply uses start using Emsam.
